2018 ECA Edmundson Apprentice of the Year Winner
The 44th Winner of the Award, which has been sponsored by Edmundson Electrical since its inception, follows on from his boss the current managing Director of OPUS Building Services, Gavin Richards who also won the award back in 1997.
On winning the award Teasdale, who attended a JTL training college, said: “It is very humbling and a privilege to be recognised as the ECA Edmundson Apprentice of the Year and to be an ambassador for other apprentices.”
The prize was £1500 and a study trip to France, sponsored by manufacturer Hager.
Jack Teasdale beat off strong competition this year with many high calibre entrants including the two other finalists, Niall Watson of Derry Building Services; and Conor McCarthy of Darke and Taylor.
Mark Felber, managing director of Edmundson Electrical presented the awards, saying:
“Edmundson Electrical is delighted to have sponsored the industry-leading ECA Edmundson Apprentice of the Year Award for the last 44 years. We have always recognised the importance of bringing youth into the industry and have a long established policy of developing young people through our own apprenticeship and graduate schemes. Many congratulations to Jack and the other two finalists for making such an impressive start to their careers – and of course for reaching the final of the ECA Edmundson Apprentice of the Year Award.”
