Select Electrotechnical Awards 2009
The 4th Annual SELECT / CABLEtalk Awards were recently held at the Radisson SAS Hotel in Glasgow to recognise and reward high achieving individuals and companies within Scotland's Electrotechnical Industry. Entertainment on the evening came from a cooking demonstration by Nick Nairn, one of Scotland's most celebrated chefs.
The prestigious Wholesaler of the Year Award, sponsored by Megger, was won by Edmundson Electrical's Branch in Aberdeen that trades as Barwell. The picture shows William Clark receiving the award, on behalf of, Barwell from Julian Grant, UK Sales Director of Megger and Nick Nairn. Barwell's Manager Alex Barclay was unable to attend the event. The award to Barwell maintains the 100% success record for Edmundson businesses who have won this important award each year since it was established four years ago. Barwell was preceded as winner by SLD, Edmundson Electrical, Aberdeen and Scott Coppola of Leith respectively.
The SJIB Edmundson Apprentice of the Year was won by Marc Higgins of McDonald & Monroe Ltd of Elgin. Marc is shown receiving his award from Jock Simpson, Chairman of SJIB, Nick Nairn and Stephen Bull, Regional Director of Edmundson Electrical.
