EEL Rotherham have had the pleasure of assisting the Abbey School, Rotherham with the provision of some external comfort pods for the children to use at break times and lunch times under shelter. The Abbey School is designed for children with learning difficulties and supports them into adulthood by teaching them to be seen within the community. The wooden seating pods will serve as a special social space for the students – a place for them to gather, chat and enjoy activities. Andrew Sykes (Key Account Manager) and Tim Smith attended the opening ceremony at The Abbey School on Friday 10th November and are very pleased to be supporting a wonderful cause in their local community. Proud to Support Age UK!

In May, NHS Property Services asked Edmundson Electrical Burnley to donate lighting for a new Age UK charity shop, which was going to be part of the Vincent Farrell Community Centre.

Upskilling Apprenticeship Programme Hits The Mark

Edmundson Electrical recently introduced a range of new apprenticeship standard qualifications, using its own apprenticeship levy fund, to provide further skills training and development opportunities for its people and the initiative has already delivered great results. The Company currently has over 150 employees enrolled on one of several apprenticeship courses covering a variety of job roles.

On average, an apprenticeship takes 18 months to complete and so far this year 22 Edmundson colleagues have successfully completed their studies to a very high standard and, in so doing, have not only gained a professionally recognised qualification they can be proud of, but also new skills and capabilities to enhance their future careers and help the Company go from strength to strength.

Congratulations and well done to you all!
